I have a large collection of antique and vintage dollhouse shops, so I'm always on the lookout for products to stock them with. At an antique show last weekend, I spotted these 1940s-50s American-made groceries. Constructed of paper-wrapped wooden blocks, the tallest is 1 1/2 inches tall.
Here they are on the shelves of a 10 inch tall dollhouse grocery store from the same period:
I've always had a fascination for miniature groceries. Maybe you could cook up something nice for my missionaries when they come to visit.
ReplyDeleteThey are welcome to stop by anytime for some Cocomalt, Ritz crackers, Premier Tomato Juice, and slightly chipped biscuits and ham. There's also plenty of Rice Krispies, if they'd prefer something a bit lighter.
ReplyDeleteGreat display on the 10 inch shelf. The Gerber baby has been around for quite some time.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I grew up playing with my mother's childhood dollhouse. I think we had almost every item that you have on that shelf, except for the sugar and Crisco. My dad just called me to come and collect the house and furnishings, so I have been googling pictures of antique dollhouse stuff. I hope that the items are still in good condition.
