Boxed Pewter Dollhouse Tea Set

Another addition to my toy tea set collection, this boxed version dates to 1934, and was made by the H. Fishlove Company of Chicago, who were more frequently producers of novelty joke boxes and gags. The set is pewter (except for the tin tray), and the pieces are rather heavy. The teacups measure 1/2 an inch tall, and the box is 4 1/4 inches wide.

  1. I like your dollhouse tea set. It's complete and you have a original box - that's rare.

  3. I have a partial set with some additional pewter pieces that I purchased with some German Doll House furniture at a garage sale. Do you know where I could find out the value of my treasures?

  4. The best way I know of to find any value is just to do a "completed" items search on eBay for similar pieces. That will give a sense of what things are actually selling for. There's also a great dollhouse and miniature website, dollshousespastandpresent.com, which has a very friendly forum, and people there could probably help you identify, date, and value your finds as well.
