What Did We Get For Christmas?

For the holidays, I  got a respiratory infection, an asthma flareup, and the flu...but I also got:

-an 1870s children's sleigh
-an antique German wooden toy village
-a 1906-1908 teddy bear with photographs of its original owners
-a set of 1916 Schoenhut Alphies blocks
-some antique photographs of children with their toys
-some beautiful Victorian scraps
-and a new Peng Peng bear

Pictures to come soon...

What did you get? Tell us in the comments!

  1. Well, I'm glad to say that I didn't get sick. And I'm very sorry you did; I hope you are all better now. We don't do much in the way of gifts anymore (where would we put this stuff anyway?), but I did get a box of Wasabi Kit Kats from Japan in my stocking. They're not as good as the green tea Kit Kats, but very interesting.
I can't wait to see your carved German village.

    1. Thanks! I'm working on getting the village photographed, but it's taking longer than expected. So many tiny pieces, and just when everything is finally set up, a tree will fall over and take out a fence and a few cows, and then I have to start all over again. But hopefully I'll get it up soon.

I love the dollhouse you have over at your site: it is spectacular!

  3. Hi, found your blog looking up Kitchmas. Love, love, love your stuff. You are an eclectic collector like me. I never knew other people like me existed. I showed your pics to my husband, he said I was your soulmate. How weird. Your pics of your pinecone and chenile santas looks just like my Hoosier. I am new to this but would like to show you photos too.
When someone comes to our house my husband says..guess what she collects? The answer...EVERYTHING. I would like to hear from you and I look forward to seeing more of your new found treasures. Best wishes for a Great New Year..."Just Me"
